Where are they now?

William (Senior) died on 7th September 1937.
Aged 78 years
Jane, Wife of William died 27th April 1948.
Aged 82 years

Both lay in peace in the grounds of Saint Andrew's Church, Eastern Green, Coventry.

The Parents of William (George and Lucy), had at least 11 children.  After retiring from farming in Shennington, they both died in the Banbury Union Workhouse in December 1891 and November 1883 respectively.

William (Jnr). became Lance Corporal in the 7th Battalion, King's Rifle Corps and was killed in action in the first world war during the battle for Delville Wood in France, Friday 18th August 1916, aged 22.  Remembered with honour at the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France.

The THIEPVAL MEMORIAL with it's new Visitors Centre and the Battle Field at Delville Wood was visited by the author in July 2005 to record the information and pay our respects.
William's photograph has been included on the montage of 600 soldiers representing their country and memory of over 70,000 killed during the battle of the Somme

All the rest of the family members married and with the exception of Charles, all had children. Their descendants live in many areas of the UK particularly in and around Coventry and several locations overseas.
